HD Theater 300 problems and weirdness

I have an HD 200 and 300. In the same location on the same TV my 200 works great (except not being able to play BD audio but that's a known limitation). If I swap out the 200 for the 300 in the same location I get ...

1. slow choppy play back of BD movies like they're playing back in slow motion without sound (the 200 plays the movies fine ... just no sound)
2. the entire SageTV user interface is much slower/less responsive
3. while playing back DVD movies or taped shows I get random periods when the audio just drops out (video continues just fine) that typically lasts 3-4 seconds and if I rewind and play the section again it plays fine

Any ideas? I only have one HDTV so I can't test in any other location although I can't imagine how this would be location/network related since the 200 works fine (I purchased the 300 for an HDTV I haven't purchased yet for another room but installed it instead of the 200 so I could get audio with BD without an external receiver that can handle the signal). I tried both the latest firmware and the latest beta without change. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

How are they connected to the server (wifi or wired network)?

How is the RAM, CPU on your server while under load, also what's the JVM memory usage. The BD will uses more bandwidth, and the HD300 UI uses more bandwidth.

Use iperf to test bandwidth:
