Audio bitrate must be between 112-320kbps ??
I am running RTVConvert on some of my sage recordings and getting the above error ? I have tried using both the DVD Long play and the GREAT 2gb setting have problem with both ? Is there a way to set the audio bit rate higher ?

Actually for any of the DVD settings and the Great setting the audio is already 384. At the Good setting audio is 256. Put the 2 lines below in your Sage properties files and this should work with RTVConvert.
seeker/recording_qualities/MyDVD=MyDVD,224,48000,6000000 mmc/python2_encoding/MyDVD=videobitrate=4500000|width=720|height=480|audiobitrate=224|vbr=1|peakvideobitrate=6000000 Gerry

Ok .. only question is doing the above, restarting sage doesn't yield a MyDVD quality choice ? the first line (the seeker one) doesn't seem to match the format of the other seeker lines i.e.
seeker/recording_qualities/DVD\ Extra\ Long\ Play\ ~\ 1.8GB\ per\ hr=DVD Extra Long Play,384,48000,4125000 should the = you have after MyDVD be a \ ? |

Actually that's straight from the Sage Support page.
Recording Quality You can format the statement with backslash but either one should work. Gerry

How Strange ! You guys are running V2 ?? Because I don't have half the mmc lines kny is showing. I have no mmc lines for the predefined stats, and if i try to make any changes to the seeker/recording quality line (with sagetv off mind you) as soon as sagetv starts up it overwrites my changes with the defaults.
Guess i'm not going to get this to work anytime soon |

All of those mmc entries are custom qualities. Make sure you have Sage shutdown completely and not just in Sleep mode when editing the properteis file.

yeah I posted them so people can try them out
I really like some of the higher bit rate qualities I found variable rate 5.6 MAX to be good for sports and many other of the quality to be helpful as well I will post my properites file so you can just paste it over yours but make sure there are not other changes done that you will not want I still hope more people would post there additional recording qualities and what they used for I think changing some other filters will help as well but I have done anything like that yet |
