What's the right "extender_resolution_extra_modes" for 480p w/ 24fps?

Setup:
SageTV server, HD200 connected to a 120Hz Samsung LCD TV over HDMI. I've added 1920x1080p@24 to "extender_resolution_extra_modes" in my client properties file. I've got Samsung's "Auto Motion 120Hz" setting turned off. It is my understanding that the set still does 120Hz, but the "off" setting here turns off some sort of motion compensation/telecine engine. For BD content, this looks great!

Question:
I've got a bunch of movies (and some TV that was on film) from DVD content that show up as 480p@24fps in Video detail. I transcoded them with Handbrake, and the 24fps matches with my memory of settings I used (same as source, output log showed the source as 24-ish). When I play these 720x480p@24 movies using my new 1920x1080p@24 "extra mode", motion is pretty jerky in quite a few of the scenes. So far, I've found this jerkiness in everything I've tested.

In Opus4's post on setting up extender_resolution_extra_modes, there's a txt file containing valid standards, I didn't find a 480p24 standard. I did find a 480p120 standard, but it appears my TV doesn't like that input.

So, any suggestions? I'm assuming that if I set the mode to 1920x1080p@24 for a 480p@24 content, that the HD200 has to match the resolution, but not the framerate. On the other hand, if I set the mode to 720x480p@60, then the HD200 has to do some sort of pullup but not deal with resolution. Do I have this right? If I can't match both the frame rate and resolution for a given file, which should I match? For 1080i@30, is 1080p@60 better than 1080i@30?

If it matters, I've got an HD300 ordered and on it's way (not really for this reason, but it would be nice if that helped).

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I wanted to add that 480p output from the HD200's seems to have been broken with the last firmware update. I had always used it with my old rear-projection big screen, but now it always defaults to 480i. If I force it to use only 480p the box locks up and becomes unresponsive. Sometimes I can go into the settings (extender mode) and get it to switch to 480p after the fact, but it still doesn't look quite right. My main point is that the last firmware or v7 of the software seems to have created resolution settings issues. I've been too busy lately to really troubleshoot the issue.
