Streaming live event on lan
I apologize in advance if this is the wrong forum for this question. I figure the people here would be the most knowledgeable about what I am asking.
I have been a sagetv user for about 7 years. Has worked about flawlessly for me at home. I work for a small university and we stream our graduation ceremonies live to an auditorium with a projector and a very large screen. We currently use a vbrick and it works fine. However, I need a backup in case the vbrick fails and cannot justify buying another one just to sit there. I also would like to experiment with something with a higher resolution (vbrick max is 640 x 480). Imagine what that looks like blown up to a very large screen. I am considering sage with something like an hdpvr. Does this sound reasonable? Any reason not to do this? Is there a better solution? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. |
