Sorting Music by Codec?

I am in the middle of re-encoding all of my CD's to Apple Lossless (ALAC) but am keeping the old mp3 versions of the music too. I would love a way to sort out the ALAC versions from the MP3 versions so I do not have duplicates in my Sage playlists. Is there a way to easily do this?

Not that I've ever seen. It is more by what the tag info says. If you want them to be separate you would have to use the folder view. One for mp3, one for lossless.

That would be much more of a pain. Basically, I'm using Itunes on my laptop, then syncing itunes with a folder on my server. There isn't an easy way to sync certain file types from itunes to different folders. Is there a way to create a Sage playlist with something else, like winamp, itunes, foobar?

Sage reads .m3u files, so anything that will create those.

Thanks, I didn't realize that. That should work for now. Now if only Sage would fix the "gap" between songs that causes my receiver to silence the first few seconds of a song.
