No fanart on HD3000

Awesome theme! Simply the best looking thing on sage since day one.

Anyhew - back to the problem:

I don't seem to have any fanart / covers at all on my HD3000. I have looked in the options and I assume that the 'Central Fanart Folder' is what I need to change?!?

That field should have automatically been set according to where you have BMT storing fanart. As long as you have BMT set up and it is actively storing fanart in your central fanart directory then you could just put the path in there.

It's just a normal path and can accept UNC paths:

E:\Fanart
\\MediaVault\Fanart

And that field should contain the location of where you central fanart folder is located. In your central fanart folder, you'll have other folders for TV and Movies.

In Phoenix on my PC server the Fanart location is set to userdata\Phoenix\Fanart

I can see the fanart fine here.

On the HD300 I was going to set the dir to the same, but this is where I think I am having a blond moment. I can't seem to see any way to input the forward slashes using either the on-screen keyboard or the remote?!? Tell me I'm being a dumb-a**

It would appear that you are using the default location for fanart (which is fine), so you shouldn't have to set it.

Are you sure you have fanart? Did you scan your items for fanart? Do you see fanart from the BMT web ui (assuming you have it installed)

I definitely have fanart on my PC. I have been going through my films selecting the correct meta and images etc. within the Phoenix UI.

I tried to make the HD300 fanart dir the same as the (Phoenix UI on the) PC, but I got stuck as I could not enter a forward slash. how would I do this?

Your HD300 should inherit the setting that you have on your Server automatically.

If it's not for some reason you probably will need to dig out the .properties file for your extender and find the line that has the central fanart location and update it manually...

It's odd that you'd see one type but not the other... perhaps try clearing the fanart cache, which you can do from the web ui. (fanart caches the fact that you have no fanart as well.. so now that the path is correct, you may need to clear the fanart caches - which I think is now in the Refresh menu in the web ui)

One tiny step at a time!

I cleared the cache, but this hasn't really helped.

If (on the HD300) I view movies in 'Cover Flow' I see all the covers. All the other views just show the red flame though.

I can even go into the movie (from movie wall) and select which cover I want, but it doesn't update. Odd!

Anything else to try?
