Anyone else getting tired of seeing everything - except - SageTV related posts in their SageTV cirle? Or do I not understand the purpose of this exercise?

I joined G+ solely because I figured like-minded people would be posting things I might actually be interested in (as opposed to FB, which I'm still not on), not because I expected only SageTV posts. I can come right here if I only want SageTV info. So, to more directly answer your question, nope!

BTW, if you don't like what certain people are posting, just block them. I'm only adding people to my circles who I'm pretty familiar with from the forums or elsewhere, which is only 9 people so far. I don't intend to have a ton of people in my circles.

OK. Sorry I got it wrong, I expected the posts from people who asked for invites here to be mostly SageTV related, but not so formal or public as this forum.

I'll have to re-think my SageTV circle; if most of the people I've added to it from this forum are like you, then I'm not in their SageTV circle (you're not familiar with me) and am just seeing everything they post to the stream. If they have a SageTV circle and post some items just to that circle, I'm missing the posts that I'm potentially most interested in.

I'll give it another week or so.......

Yet another reason Facebook groups are actually superior to g+ circles, especially when topical conversation is concerned.

for narrowly defined convo, i would think going direct to the sagetv forums would be best. I don't see how FB groups (which i dislike) or circles would be appropriate for the reasons above.

I think it is interesting to see what you guys do in the non-sage world. Not all of you though.

I never joined any of the other social networks either, but decided to give Google+ a try:
http://gplus.to/AndrewVisscher

I'm starting off with photos of the solar panel installation process at our house, which started this morning.

See, now that's the type of stuff *I* find interesting, especially since he's a fellow Jerseyan. Gotta go add Andy now.

Was just in a meeting this morning about installing a massive solar array on the roof of the parking structure here where I work. Long overdue, I say.
