Replies to Developers for sagetv-dev@google.com

For those of you who are interested devs who emails the sagetv-dev@google.com address; sorry if you haven't got a reply there. I went through some of those, but got busy and didn't finish (and I ended up starting in the middle of the list). In the future I'll be posting stuff to the forums relating to that and try to come up with some kind of email list as well.

Don't worry, we won't forget about you.

no worries Jeff. We all know how insane you're life most likely is right now. I didn't expect any real information to be available at this point anyway.

Sagetv-dev still working?

Tried to post a fix for a problem I found - received the following:

"We're writing to let you know that the group you tried to contact (sagetv-dev) may not exist, or you may not have permission to post messages to the group. A few more details on why you weren't able to post:

* You might have spelled or formatted the group name incorrectly.
* The owner of the group may have removed this group.
* You may need to join the group before receiving permission to post.
* This group may not be open to posting."

My guess is that they dropped that email address after realizing that things within Google were not moving as fast as the ex-SageTV thought/hoped. So there was never any real need to get back to developers with anything concrete (people who emailed pretty much got a canned response)...

I received an email from Jeff a few weeks after everything went down. He requested my resume for a possible position. I then received the "You're not good enough email" :-)

Ah OK, I hadn't seen anyone mention getting passed the original canned response.
