Media MVP Extender Issues

Greetings everyone... I have a legacy Hauppauge MVP as a Sage Media Extender.... Okay I know, there are newer versions of Sage and I am still running like Sage version 3, but the reality is it has been working great and I have had not reason to upgrade... Lately though sporatically the MVP locks up when I power it on. It hangs and never connects to the server. I can't even power it off with the remote - it is at the sage loading screen, but it just hangs. Without fail, when I unplug the MVP and plug it back in, it connects and loads sage quickly without issue.... it typically happens after prolonged periods of no use (IE following day). Anyone ever experience this? Can I still get updated placeshifter SW anywhere to see if that helps?

I'm not sure what you mean by updated placeshifter sw.

I think the reason you're not getting a lot of responses now is because you're on such an old version of Sage. Unfortunately, you're pretty much stuck on that old version.

I do know it's pretty common with the Media MVPs to unplug for 30 seconds or so if they hang. Kinda sucks if you have to do it that frequently, but I don't have any advice other than try to unplug on a regular basis.
