IR Tuner - Cannot change settings

I need to add a prefix to my IR channel changes to wait up my vip211. All the posts in the forum say that I should be able to do this via Source Details->Tuner Control->Remote Control Options. I know I have done this before, but what did before isn't working now.

However, that dialog does not appear to function at all. It does not actually change any of the settings no matter what I set anything to.

Is there a way to set this setting outside of the GUI? I just need to set the "Select" IR command in my vip211.ir as the channel prefix.

I'm using a USBUIRT to tune the Dish VIP211. Recording via a Haupauge Colosus.

from the tuner setup detail screen where it shows broadcast type, etc. select the usbuirt as the tuner device. go into learn commands. and learn the select command. The weird thing here is that it will appear as if it isn't working but it is. so what you do is hit learn command, type in SELECT, and then the next screen will flash super fast at you. it is currently in learning mode, so point your dish remote at the front of the usbuirt and hold the select button (or continously press it) once teh command is learned sage will pop up a window that says the command has been learned.

from there on the same screen you can go to channel tuning i belive is what it is called. set your channel change prefix to SELECT

That's the issue right there... the "learn command" screen just flashes and returns immediately to the dialog. Any attempt to change any of the settings for the usb-uirt are not saved. The dialogs just close and when I go back in, the settings are still showing default.

Oh... yes it does work to change channels, so I do know the usb-uirt is functioning.
