EXETunerPlugin with Girder - Need Command-Line & GML Help

After reading the Frey Forums, the Girder Forums & the USB-UIRT Forums, I've come to the unfortunate (not really, just a lil harder) conclusion that I will need to use the EXETunerPlugin to control my Cable Box.

I need to only use the external emmitter of the USB-UIRT to emit the signal & from what I've read elsewhere, where to emit can only be controlled by Girder & not natively by Sage.

So no big deal, I'll use EXETunerPlugin... but How?

I know that I'll need to learn all the commands into Girder (especially the #s & enter) and then using an event.exe command (C:\\Program Files\\Girder\\event.exe %CHANNEL% -silent) I'll need to call a channel to goto.

But how do I set up girder to accept a number and know what to do with it?

Do I create 1000s of events (ie. Event 1 types 1 enter, Event 2 types 2 enter, Event 136 types 1,3,6 enter, etc)?

Or is there an easier (hopefully) way to get girder to respond to a number?

Sage has native support for the UIRT, all you should have to do is learn the IR codes for your cable box with Sage.

Yep, I've been using my USB-UIRT(with just Sage, no Girder/exetunerplugin) to control my digital cable box for monthes. Depending on your model you may even find a prebuilt IR file is already available from Frey or Jon Rhees(the creator of the USB-UIRT). Last I heard Jon was collecting known good IR files for the different models.

If you can get a prebuilt IR file, setup would be super easy. Download it and put it in the proper directory. Then select it when you're doing your source setup.

I understand that Sage has Full Support of the USB-UIRT. However I need it to only emit through an external emitter & not through the main emitter built into the USB-UIRT.

That originally wasn't possible to do through Sage & only through girder.

BUT - Jon Rhees just informed that it is possible by editing the ir file
