Important tip: Media import from server prevents Sleep

Although it's getting pretty quiet around here, I wanted to share an important note about SageTV and Windows Sleep.

If you set any Media Import to point to a folder on another computer, the system that is running SageTV will never automatically go into sleep mode again!

Also, POWERCFG -requests (which is supposed to report on anything that is keeping the computer awake) will not report this. You will see
Code:
DISPLAY:
None.
SYSTEM:
None.
AWAYMODE:
None.
for days at a time as the system stays awake.

We wanted to view some photos on the server, and added the folder to the media import list under setup. I forgot about it, and tried for weeks to determine why the system would not sleep.

Maybe this is common knowledge but it was news to me. I hope it helps somebody else.

Out of curiosity do you have Sage setup to do an Autoscan of imports or do you have it set on Manual Scan?
