Saw these in the sd4j-api.log. Not sure if they mean anything.

Delete the sdjson.epg file, force an EPG update. Check the logs, make sure it's client 0.0.4.2 running when the download is called. That previous error would have probably been the cause of the no data issues. As long as 0.0.4.2 client is running, it should fully populate the wiz.bin for all channels.

EDIT: Yup, I've been told to put my iPhone away. Gone until morning.

So I did that and in the sdepg.log it only shows one line up being updated:

2013-07-12 21:02:24,102 INFO [Plugin]: Refreshed lineup 'Comcast Georgetown Haverhill (Analog)'
2013-07-12 21:15:57,239 INFO [Plugin]: EPG refresh forced by user!
2013-07-12 21:15:59,643 INFO [Plugin]: Refreshed lineup 'Comcast Georgetown Haverhill (Analog)'

I still have my license file setup from mc2xml.

Also, I don't see the sdjson.epg file getting created.

Also, I have 2 line ups in SD, but I notice that I see 3 when configuring a video source. Also, the "Comcast Georgetown Haverhill (Analog)" is the only line up that I didn't configure in SD.

Have a good night.

As of this morning, still no sdjson.epg got recreated and the sdepg.log still shows a lineup that not's in my SD account.

Really strange.
Just a thought until Slugger gets back. Can you go to the Web UI (SageTV Web Interface v2.4), click on the Schedules Direct Tab and then click on Configure Lineups. That should show you what Headends are currently configured for your Schedules Direct account. If the Headends are not correct then remove the incorrect ones and add the correct ones. Once you're sure that you have the correct Headends configured, delete any sdjson.epg files on your computer and force a lineup download for the Web UI (SageTV tab -> Home -> Force EPG update). If this works, great. If not then you'll have to wait until Slugger returns.

This may sound like a dumb question, but how do I get the web ui? I never did that before.

Really strange.
Two things here...

1) The log message is misleading. It only shows one lineup as being refreshed, but they both are indeed refreshed. That log message needs to be fixed.

2) The force EPG refresh button on the plugin config settings page is broken, as mentioned above somewhere and in the release notes of the last plugin build. You need to force an EPG refresh by other means. Either via the web ui plugin or by going to one of your tuner configs, choosing channels then disabling/enabling one of the channels on your lineup.

Go to the list of plugins, find the one named "SageTV Web Interface" and click to install it.

So I went to the video sources and enabled and disabled a channel on each line up and bam.... everything is in the guide.

So 2 questions,

1. will this update the epg on it's own? Does it update everyday?

2. I installed the web interface... how do I use it? The wiki link is dead.

Thanks for everything!!!!

Yeah, Sage will call for an EPG update on its own once a day. You only need to trigger a refresh when needed (for troubleshooting, etc.); eventually that refresh EPG button of mine will work again.

Here's an older howto doc I found on the web. The installation instructions are obsolete, but that's ok. Just start at step #6 to test/use/configure the web ui. The first thing step 6 says is to restart Sage, but that shouldn't be necessary.

Or the other way around, I believe are the defaults. Going forward, support issues for the web ui should go to this thread, not here.

Maybe Opus4 will see this and move it there for us.

I had to restore my system because of bad hard drive. Now when I configure my tuners it only gives 1 option for program guide which is Tim Warner Cable Digital. It used to give me Time Warner Cable Analog. With the analog option I had to click on 50 channels that I don't want to show because I don't receive them. With the digital version I have to uncheck over 1500 channels. I had to revert back to sag guide for now because it would be very time consuming to uncheck over 1500 channels. I did try to delete the sdepg file and remove and resetup up the tuners but it still only gives me the digital option.

What's the name/zip code of your lineup? Your provider may have removed analog from their cable headend, which is why you're not seeing that as an option anymore.

my zip code is 04330. I just checked available lineups on my account with schedulesdirect and the analog lineup is greyed out. I suppose that means that you are right that they stopped supporting the analog lineup. Now I have to edit out over 1600 channels when I setup the channels I receive. That is not reasonable. It will take me hours to do that.

I see both the analog and digital lineups when I use your zip code. You say you restored your system. Did you also reinstall your sagetv-addons license file? When unlicensed, the plugin will only ever make one lineup visible to SageTV. This sounds like what's happening. The sdepg.log file will tell you if that's what it's doing.

The analog lineup is the only one I have setup on schedules direct. I have 3 tuners but they all use the same lineup. When I went to readd the tuners while setting up the system and after entering the zip code it only showed the digital lineup as an option even though I don't have the digital lineup setup on schedulesdirect. Previously it showed me both. I will try to set it up again in the next 30 minutes and see what happens. I do have the license file in the right folder but it shouldn't matter because I only have 1 lineup.

I just checked, and there's still an analog lineup available in your zip:

Headend Name: Time Warner Cable
Headend Location: Augusta
Headend ID: ME18422

The lineups you have registered on the Schedules Direct web site have no influence on what Sage receives from the JSON service. It goes by what you registered with the JSON service (either via the command line app or the Sage web UI). The JSON service works with headends & headends contain 1 or more lineups. For your Time Warner headend, there are definitely two lineups; a digital and an analog lineup. My plugin would only present one of those lineups as an option if it's not licensed. If licensed, it would present both. I'd check the sdepg.log file and see if it's telling you it's not licensed. That's still my best guess.
