Not sure if this is expected, but when configuring the videos sources, I see the channels as 278 FXM FX Movie channel, then under that is 278 -.

I see this for almost every channel. Seems to have a duplicate channel.

Do you have more than one lineup registered and in use? Attach the sdjson.epg file generated.

Delete sdjson.epg file, go to plugin settings, set sdjson logging to DEBUG, set sdjson capture to ALL, force an epg update, zip up everything in plugins/sdepg/capture and plugins/sdepg/logs, attach it.

Hi Slugger, just checking if you had any thoughts on the duplicate channels?

I tried removing the lineup and re-adding it on SD and then redoing the video sources, but still the same.

thanks

I sent you a pm yesterday or the day before asking for debug logs and for you to email me the sdjson.epg file.

Right so I need the sdjson logging set to DEBUG, the sdjson grabber logging set to INFO, the capture setting set to ALL and then rerun. Send those logs along with the sdjson.epg file to me via email. I've pm'd my email address to you.

Help:?!?

Ok... My wife called to tell me we had no program guide data anymore -- in checking into it I see I need to update the plugin -- been a while. I followed the directions and now see the following in the sdepg log file :

I'm assuming you were using version 0.0.5 of the plugin as Slugger warned users of that version that they would lose epg data unless they upgraded to version 0.0.6. due to Schedules Direct changes on their end. Going from version 0.0.5 to 0.0.6 is more involved than just updating the grabber. There are instructions in the wiki for upgrading from plugin v 0.0.5 to 0.0.6, see Slugger's posts 355 and 356. Also, you must have Java version 7 installed.

@osx-addict: Yeah, you need to perform all of the steps from the wiki.

Hi Slugger,

Thanks for the all help.

One issue I see is that in the guide, all my pay channels like HBO, Shotime, etc have no data. Everything else looks fine. I check SD and those channels are selected for the download.

Any thoughts?

Did you just enable those channels today? A bug at the SD service means that all epg downloads would have failed since 7am yesterday. The bug was fixed earlier today for tomorrow's SD data load and so data pulls should start working again tomorrow. So any new channels you may have enabled over the last day or two would not have been able to pull in data, but will be able to starting tomorrow (maybe even later today, check the SD status page in the webui).

I did follow the wiki (updated the sage.properties file, placed in the new gsp file earlier mentioned, removed the tuners, etc) but did NOT update my Java installation.. I'm thinking it might be easier at this point to uninstall this plugin, do a little cleanup on anything left over (if anything) and then reinstall and reconfigure.. Good or bad way to go?

that's also assuming I update my Java installation (I have no idea what version it is) -- is that a requirement? If so it ought to be listed on the wiki page too...

Well your Java version is at least v7 otherwise the plugin wouldn't have installed. Java 7 is the minimum requirement. But we've learned this week that there are bugs in earlier versions of v7 so it is recommended that you upgrade to the latest available (1.7.0_55). Then be sure that you've reregistered your lineups with the SD service via the webui (see install guide). You should not need to reinstall SageTV to get this plugin working. Do check that there are no duplicate jars, etc. but if there's not then things should be good to go (after you ensure Java is updated).

I'll probably go the easy route and update java and then uninstall just your plugin (leaving the rest of sage alone) and then reinstall the plugin

P.S. My Java is 1.7.051 for the record.. and I just updated to 1.7.0_60
