http://www.sat-dreambox.com/f643/osc...am-share-8478/
I suggest chaining for now, I need to have access to the CAM directory because I load the "oscam.server" to produce a consistent "oscam.conf" and "oscam.user". For the future I'm looking into the option to connect to a remote OSCAM server, but for the time being I'm assuming the OSCAM server running on the same machine as SageTV, so chaining is a good option for you

I think in your oscam.server the "caid" is missing, also regarding the protocol please use cs378x for local sharing:

Code:
[reader]
label = raduga
description = raduga
protocol = cs378x
device = 192.168.11.204, 27550
user = dummy
password = dummy
inactivitytimeout = 30
fallback = 1
group = 1
audisabled = 0
caid = 0652
EMMcache = 1,3,2
blockemm-u = 0
blockemm-s = 0
blockemm-g = 1
blockemm-unknown = 1
Finally, you must make sure to run SageTV first with OSCAM (client) stopped so that sage can read the oscam.server and produce the right oscam.conf and oscam.user, then you can start the OSCAM (client) which in turn will read the oscam.conf and oscam.user with the declared accounts, make sense?

Also, I'm assuming that your OSCAM (server on linux) have an account for the [reader] above? Please make sure that the two OSCAM are talking together first.

Eddy

Just my two cents - I think you will have to give permission to SageTVUser_XX in oscam.user to relay requests. This is done with these commands
Code:
[account]
...
cccmaxhops=1
cccreshare=0

Excellent point, was that the setting you were using when sharing your card with me? I recall we had a similar issue at the beginning and forgot to ask you what was the setting that eventually made it working

I don't remember completely, but as far I remember "cccreshare=1" was the missing link.

many thanks for that...I assume you need to put the setting in the oscam.user file? (OSCAM Client side)

How did it go in the end? I think wubdich gave you a very good hint on how to fix your issue with OSCAM.

As you don't live in the UK I would like to hear your success story with your provider if possible

Cheers
Eddy

hi, i was travelled abroad this week. but still have issues.
but i have very chalenging things....

i try to setup dish to 75E for http://www.lyngsat.com/packages/raduga.html

i use circluar LNB(single output) without plastic inside to ability to share signal via simple 4x splitter (to quad TBS card) becouse it's vertial and low. so when i remove plastic from circluar LNB it's will be default tuning.

i use embedded windows 8 64bits, on atom cpu with 8gb ram - Intel® Desktop Board DN2800MT with 60gb SSD.

it's fanless appliance style board with external powersupply.

I try to scan channels - sometime it's work sometimes it's like something instable with sagetv and this TBS card. i have no expirience with sagetv direct working with card - i always used dvb4sage.

I don't believe SageTV supports DiSEqC properly (I had it working with Hauppauges, but that tuners are natively supported by SageTV very well), so your best bet is to use a Quad LNB to feed the TBS6985, also if I recall properly the TBS doesn't like any signal switch, check in the TBS website/forum.

This shouldn't be a problem.

Natively is easier that it sounds, if you want to perform a scan you need to have a valid and updated "PredefinedDVBS.FRQ" file, otherwise you can use the "DVB-S Importer" plugin and manually add the channels one by one in SageTV once.

The fact that is disconnecting from oscam is because the EMM/ECM format is not what oscam is expecting, please check the oscam logs as well when failing. Your smartcard is IRDETO which is not officially supported by the filter because you need to send the EMM/ECM in a special way. I currently don't have any user with an IRDETO card, however with a bit of study I reckon it should be relatively simple to add.

Please PM your email address and I'll reply today/tomorrow with some instructions and a special instrumented version of the filter that should be able to help me identify and support the IRDETO protocol.

Finger crossed

Eddy

Thanks for the email.

Would it be possible for your to please try your second provider in the meantime? That should work properly and also will prove that there aren't other issues .

Thanks

Yes, of course . I was hoping that your second provider LNB have more than one output to feed one of your TBS input.

the problem is not with outputs....i have 8 of them, but use only 3.
if i use more than 3 concurrently NDS kill the card.

the problem with the card - it's not used by oscam, it's used via dvb4sage VGCAM - propritory plugin that can handle 3 differents encodings...one of them NDS - and this item is not sharable.

Sorry, but I don't think I follow. Who is killing the card, NDS? Or the fact that the NDS card cannot transcode more than 3 channels without pixellation?

You said you had an OSCAM server running on Linux and therefore you needed to share the card between two OSCAM servers, so that was for the RadugaTV? Did you try RadugaTV with DVB4SAGE first?

So you never tried OSCAM + DVB4SAGE + NDS? I'm not aware on VGCAM is it a plugin for DVB4SAGE? Please explain.

Alternatively, is VGCAM a hardware CAM module inserted in one of your tuner which exposes a MDAPI interface that DVB4SAGE uses?

1) no, when you abuse 3 more channels decoding with current NDS card - it's receive counters (timestamp) from ECM, and compare performance if more than 2 in average - card dead.

2) i use TT 3650 cards, if i put more than 4 cards - there some driver issue with resources - and after sometime need to reboot PC. in general i tried Raduga with dvbe4sage - it's works, there also many configuration issues - dvb4sage with very tight to NDS.

3) i tried oscam + dvb4sage + yes - MDAPI very unstable - support for plugins for dvb4sage it's not reliable like vgcam

Arrow Recommended usage of this plugin

I think I need to clarify how to use this plugin with SageTV in native mode in order to avoid issues and disappointment.

The correct usage of this plugin is achieved in two distinct ways:
  • Via physical smartcard
  • Via smartcard sharing service
In case you have one or more physical smartcard you MUST ensure to have a valid card reader that OSCAM can use and configured to successfully read your card's entitlements.

Alternatively, whether you've been unsuccessful to read you current smartcard or you simply don't want to use your smartcard but you live in a area where you might subscribe to an Internet card sharing service then you can easily configure OSCAM to use such provider instead.

Many existing network encoder's user doesn't realise that a natively configured tuner in SageTV needs a valid and consistent ".FRQ" file (which contains the tuning parameters for each TV channel), one for each tuner and that can be generated via a channel scan within SageTV or via numerous plugin available to download.

After those prerequisite, you can safely download the plugin and start to watch encrypted channels in no time .

Thanks
Eddy
