TV window garbled in guide.
When I start watching a show and I go to the guide, the
tv window is all garbled. I get no real picture but I still get the sound. If I go back to the full video it the picture works fine. Sometimes when I go from the menu to the full screen video I get the smaller window in the corner and I have to go back to the guide and then back to full screen video and that usually works. Has anyone else had this issue or seen this?? I seem to get the same result with overlay and VRM9. I'm using the cyberlink decoders. Thanks, Jim |

Ok.. Elecard doesn't exhibit this. Cyberlink and Sonic
both exhibit this behavior. Does anyone have any thoughts about this???? Why does Elecard work and not cyberlink? I only had an eval copy of elecard which has expiried so I'm getting the expired artifacts... Even on a fresh install of Sage, the small window is all messed up. Two pictures are attached below.. one with cyberlink and the other with elecard. Why doesn't the cyberlink work!! Jim |

Disable hardware acceleration in the decoders to see if that helps.
Elecard does NOT support hardware acceleation. |

well the cyberlink decoders do not work with VMR9
only the ATI version does I would try setting the video render to overlay and the decoder to either cyberlink or sonic but then choose the same audio decoder and try using the audio render for cyberlink of cyberlink audio render and for sonic it really should not matter but try using default wave out also make sure you have directX9 installed and also disable 3d acceleration if you have it enabled |

1. 3D excelleration is disabled.
2. Overlay and VRM9 have the same effect 3. I get sound just fine from it. 4. I have the lastest direct X installed. |

Have you made sure Hardware Acceleration is off in the decoder? Open up PowerDVD and see if the box is checked. I actually get this too with that decoder on my ATI 9000 if hardware acceleration is checked and I try to watch a DVD.
