Google Play Music question

Anyone have luck getting playlists to import into Google Play Music? The FAQs are really vague and it sounds like it can only import iTunes or WMP playlists.

I don't use WMP but I do have iTunes - not my favorite, but I can deal with it - but I can't get it to import anything. I have found a few random forum posts (mostly Android forums) and there's no clear answer, some people indicate you need to add the iTunes folder to your "monitored/updated" list of folders, but that hasn't done a thing for me.

Anyone have any tips?

I'd love if you could add columns or sort topics (i.e., year) to their sorting, but you are stuck with album, artist, songs, genre, length, and rating (which I don't use). Seems like they are trying to force you to use their stupid auto-playlists.

I tried a ton of stuff. Between this/bidirectional playlist sync and the total lack of any hardware players that I can control with my smartphone, I opted to ditch Google Music and go with Amazon.

I'd love to hear if you can solve this, though.
