Network Encoder mystery
I am trying to setup an ATI e-home wonder card as a network encoder. I have installed Sage recorder, deleted the registry entry for the E-home card, and the e-home works just fine in Sage recorder. The problem comes when I try to set it up in the Sage server on my other machine. Sage sees the E-home, lets me add it as another source. I am using 2 -16 PVR-250's in the server. They are using DirectTv on the S-video input with serial cables to tune. The e-home in the network encoder computer is setup with my cable using the cards onboard tuner. I purposely picked shows on the channels that my cable does not get and started recordings to get the PVR-250's tied up. When I try to change the channel to something the cable gets to see how the e-home works Sage locks up for a long time and never gives me any sound or video. I can look at Sage Recorder on the e-home machine and see that the show is running because the disk usage indicator is counting up, and Sage recorder shows the channel did change. No video, or audio on the encoder computer using the Sage client either. It seems to be a decoder issue but I can't figure out why it will display video/audio using Sage recorder, but won't do it using Sage client on the same machine.
Any ideas would sure be appreciated.
Sorry this is so long, didn't know how to explain it shorter.
Thanks, Randy
