Phoenix Renamer - Java Error

Hey

I have upgraded to windows 8. I have been using the Phoenix Renamer for over a year now with windows 7.

So I downloaded the phoenix renamer again and when I run the command it comes up with this error:
Code:
        Exception in thread "main" java.lang.reflect.InvocationTargetException

        at sagex.phoenix.standalone.PhoenixRenamer.main(PhoenixRenamer.java:151)
Any ideas on how to fix this issue?

Thanks in advance for any help.

This is odd... and I'm sure that some people (not me) have actually installed this on Windows 8.

Here's a few questions...
1. What java version are you using
2. What phoenix renamer are you using (1.0.8 is the latest, I think) (https://code.google.com/p/sagephoeni...q=#makechanges)
3. Does this directory exist? (C:\Program Files (x86)\Phoenix Rename\
PhoenixHome\)
4. When you installed the renamer (ie, unzipped it) are you running it as the same user?

Lastly, you can try this...
extract it in c:\apps\PhoenixRenarmer\ and try running it from there.

Thanks,

Ok. So I redownloaded the tool by clicking that link and the clicking the download link.
I then installed it into C:\app\PhoenixRenamer
I have the latest version of java. I manually installed it from here:
https://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp. I got the top one.

The error I am getting now is this:
Code:
INFO - Phoenix Home: C:\apps\PhoenixTools
SLF4J: Failed to load class "org.slf4j.impl.StaticLoggerBinder".
SLF4J: Defaulting to no-operation (NOP) logger implementation
SLF4J: See http://www.slf4j.org/codes.html#StaticLoggerBinder for further details.
The folder PhoenixHome was created when I ran the program

While that is confusing, it isn't an error It's just letting you know that SLF4J logging will not be enabled, which is used by the TheMovieDB lookup. It doesn't affect the operation of the renamer. So, it looks like you are good to go.

Thanks for the reply.
Here is the line that I run to rename my episodes
Code:
C:\apps\PhoenixTools>phoenix-renamer D:\My Documents\Downloads\BitTorrent\_TV\RSS Feed\Complete\testing "${MediaTitle} - ${SeasonNumber}x${EpisodeNumber} - ${EpisodeName}"
I also tried this:
Code:
C:\apps\PhoenixTools>phoenix-renamer D:\My Documents\Downloads\BitTorrent\_TV\RSS Feed\Complete\testing
I am still getting the same message but the files are not getting renamed? Do I need to do anything else to get it to run correctly?

If you run the renamer without any parameters, it will show the complete help. I'm not sure if you want to process multiple files, you might need to use *.mkv (or *.mp4, etc). When I run it, I tend to use pass a single file and not a directory... but I think it works for both. it's been awhile but run it without any parameters and see if the help page has any additional insight.

Hey

It still seems to be giving me the same message and isn't renaming the file when I run it on a single file. Here is the line I am running
Code:
phoenix-renamer "D:\My Documents\Downloads
\BitTorrent\_TV\RSS Feed\Complete\testing\American.Horror.Story.3x11.HDTV.Xvid.M
p3.[4].[SBT].avi"
Is this correct?
