Newest problem: ghosting.

I'm getting really bad ghosting in SageTV.

Seems to happen when something is being recorded and I start channel surfing.

I've tried SageTV version 1.3.4 and 1.2.8, both fresh installs, also reinstalling PVR 250 drivers (version 1.17.110.21062).

The ghosting is kind of an echo ghost on a ghost on a ghost....

The onlky thing that fixes it is restarting Sage. Not sure what else to try.

Sorry about all the complaints, just having trouble.

It's the drivers/hardware/signal. I've got this problem too. It comes and goes, it might even be some kind of interference. Nothing that's part of Sage I can assure you!

Any advice? Different video drivers? Different PVR 250 drivers? DScaler filters? VMR setting instead of Overlay? Don't screw with built in PVR 250 video adjustments?

Hmmmm...very frustrating.

I posted to see if anyone else has this problem.

Thanks again.

I used to have it and updating my Hauppauge drivers got rid of the problem. Take a look at SHS's forum for more help. http://www.shspvr.com/forum/index.php

I also have ghosting and chirping audio with the latest Hauppauge drivers. I am messing around with using the .sys file from the MCE 1.17 drivers as suggested in the SHS forums but it is too early to tell. It may be working though, since I watched TV for about 20 minutes this morning and it was ok. With the latest Hauppauge drivers I would get a video glitch or chirp every few minutes.

Thanks for the replies. Nice to know it's not just me and there are things to try. (BTW: nice site SMS).

mlbdude: be a pal and post whatever tweaks solve your problem. I'll do the same.

Thanks.
