After hard lock, computer won't boot
This afternoon, I was watching tv as usual, and I went to watch a recorded show. When I told it to play the show, I got a "hard" lock. I thought "no big deal", and I rebooted. But, when I rebooted it would start to boot then after a minute or two it would display the "It is now safe to turn off your computer" screen. It never reached the windows desktop, it just tries to boot, then it gives me that screen. It will boot into safe mode, but I am not sure how to fix this problem in safe mode, because I am not sure of the cause. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try booting up into safe mode and have a look at how much disk space is left. If you're really low on disk space that may be causing Windows not to load.

use last known good config when you boot into safe mode
then trouble shoot from there
