Sorry, I have no way to test in Cyrillic. (But I do speak a little Russian ) What do you have the region code set to?

Can you set the loglevel to Trace and send me the logfile? Maybe I can debug it from there.

Right now it will not be easy to change the default menu. I'll add it as a feature request because you are not the only one interested in this functionality.

I think I know what's going on. Can you tell me the exactly what you are doing? Specifically, when (and how) are you deleting the video?

Don't ask me why, but this is how I've been watching most of the YouTube stuff (Doing this from memory, BTW, using extender):

1. Go down to the Online menu on the main menu.
2. Go to YouTube.
3. Go to Browse Favorite Channels (?)
4. In this case, I have a favorite called "The New Screen Savers", which is set to record all shows. (Wow, that took a LONG time to get through, even skipping stuff)
5. Select a newly recorded show.
6. Watch until end.
7. At ending popup, selecting delete show now.
8. Show deletes, then about 5 minutes later, it's back.
9. I mark watched, then delete. It stays gone.

At first guess, without looking into the logs, is that the file is still 'open' when you choose to delete it. Its a quirk of sage that sage pauses when a video is done, it doesn't stop. Sage has a workaround of sorts to remember shows that have been chosen to delete, but for some reason failed to do so (likely because it was still open), and it will try again later. The Youtube plugin likely doesn't have this workaround, so it tells sage to delete the file, it can't, so it comes back on a later scan.

Yup, I think that's part of it.

Also, when the user selects a video to delete I remove it from the list of videos that is currently displaying (rather than querying YouTube again and building a new list). I am pretty sure I am not deleting the video from the list when delete is selected from the OSD.

Oops, I have 2 issues, the one where the file won't delete at all seems to have disappear after a reboot. I forgot to report that part.

My biggest issue now, is after the delete, the plugin re-downloads the file about 5 minutes after I delete it. I've checked, and the file is gone, then comes back.

I know what's causing that. I'll fix it as soon as I get a bit of time, which probably won'e be until after New Year.

No problem, consider it extremely low on the priory list, just wanted it on the list.

btw, in beta 0.8 version of Youtube 2015 search was working, I remember I did search channels and videos, then later versions start having problems with Cyrillic... search didn't work and there were without any text (should be Cyrillic) blank rows of videos on youtube... I tried to reinstall, I tried SageTV7 and SageTV9...
at least, now I can see Cyrillic names on Youtube... (here is resolution - http://forums.sagetv.com/forums/show...017#post580017) but SEARCH in youtube is still a problem...
when I search in Cyrillic for videos it gives me junk names... like some problems with UNICODE... and if I search for channels it does not gives me any results even I know there are results available...

for search I used this words: США, политика, видео, SageTV

search in English has no problems... looks like some UNICODE problems...

Error playing null error (-2)

Whenever I try to watch a music video ( say maroon 5 sugar ) I get the following message
There was an error playing null. Error (-2): files selected for playback are no longer on disk

Any suggestions, it only appears to be occurring for official music videos, others work fine

Please provide a logfile and I'll have a look at it.

No logfile needed. I can reproduce this. It appears to be an error in youtube-dl.exe (which is a third party utility program I use).

This is a bug in youtube-dl. Fortunately the latest build fixes it, I will (hopefully) update the plugin this weekend.

Here is a temporary fix for the Maroon 5 video error.

Download this file and unzip into your Sage install directory. (Where sagetv.exe lives): http://github.com/tmiranda1962/YouTu...youtube-dl.zip

This will overwrite the existing youtube-dl with the latest build (2015.12.10) which fixes that particular error.

I can't reproduce this error. Are you sure you have "Re-Record Deleted Episodes" set to false?

There may be new errors introduced. While debugging a problem with "The New Screen Savers" I noticed one of the videos caused the plugin to hang. I'm working on a fix for that in the next version.

Really, because this week show worked fine! Just watch it LATE last night, and was just going to report it working.
