4k FireTV $99

The new 4k capable FireTV can be preordered for delivery on Oct. 5th.
Seems like a great deal compared to the much more expensive Nvidia Shield.

Nice price, but there is no indication it won't struggle with MPEG2 and VC1 like the previous Fire TV.

Picked one of these up yesterday, seems to need a lot of updates to be ready for prime time. Could only get stereo out of Netflix app. HBO Go was able to get Dolby Digital Plus but seem to be dropping so many frames was basically unwatchable. While it has Alexa integration, it not full integration as it doesn't support connection to any hubs or IF(ifttt) support. Prime videos seem to play ok.
