Trouble matching Pokémon

Ok, i think this is due to the "é"

Im trying to match Pokémon
http://thetvdb.com/?id=76703&tab=series

I just cant get it. I even added a mediatitles.xml

<titles>
<match>
<regex>[\\/]Pokémon[\\/]</regex>
<title>Pokémon</title>
<year>1997</year>
<metadata type="tv" name="tvdb">76703</metadata>
</match>
</titles>

If i select a title in BMT, and choose Discover defaults, it changes the search title to
"Pok mon"

If i manually change it back to Pokémon it finds it and i can continue, but i would really rather not do 700+ episodes manually

Any ideas?

What version of BMT? I'll set up test scenario and see what I come up with.

Is unicode filename support turned on in SageTV?

version
BMT 4.10.1
sagetv 9.0.0.8
phoenix 2.5.13

unicode - not sure, trying to figure out how to check
UPDATE - allow-unicode-in-filenames was set to false. I set to true and will try again

I updated Phoenix 3.0.1 to fix this issue... Basically Phoenix was removing those characters from names during the scraping process. Should be fixed now.

well that broke nearly everything

I updated to v9.0.7 I updated the plugin, but i cant update phoenix because of it requiring httpclient 4.0.1.1 (my current version lists 4.5.1.0)

Actually there is a bunch of things that are now "not compatible", including themoviedb, etc..

And gemstone is thoroughly bonkered.

Any ideas?

You are not going to like this... but, you'll likely need to re-install the plugins... Sadly I had the exact same thing happen to me, and I have no idea what happened, but according to sagetv, "sagex" was no longer installed, so I had to install it, again... and then I had to remove and install phoenix/bmt... and finally... I had to manually look in the JARs folder and remove OLDER duplicate jar entries

its ok.

So:
1. check sagex, install if necessary
2. uninstall bmt
3. uninstall phoenix
4. check JAR folder for (?????)

reinstall

I cant reinstall, because its now incompatible, still requiring httpclient 4.0.1.1

will try uninstalling everything

Sorry to be such a pain

I uninstalled all the plugins, reinstalled, and it installed cleanly

Updated the X-vfs and all my views are good

Go to http://servername:8080/bmt/ and get 503

Soooo close

Jetty is working fine, and I can pull up other apps such as
/apps
/livepvrdata

Without issue

I think the latest BMT was compiled with Java 1.8 (not intentionally, since it doesn't require 1.8). Are you running Java 1.8 or 1.7? I might try to push out a new BMT this weekend that is just recompiled with 1.7.

This has been a very sad upgrade to just to get Pokemon working It's also why I rarely update my production server, because I always run into these issues. I need to review the plugin update code to see what is going there... Even in v9 I would have many instances of plugins being "updated" but not actually updated.

I was also working on updating the "Plugin Updater" tool that can basically clean up messes like this (ie, plugins not being fully updated). I almost think we need a "snapshot" type of system for the plugins... whereby BEFORE upgrading, we take a snapshot of the JARS, Sage.properties, etc, in an attempt to "roll back" if fails miserably (as it did for me, and you).

I am very sorry for that. My son will come mow your lawn

If it wasn't 800+ episodes I would have just moved on and done it manually.

I actually meant it's been a sad upgrade for YOU... ie, just to get the Pokemon to scrape correctly (Your son should be mowing your lawn for sure )

Yeah, I can see that doing 800+ episode might be a tedious manual operation.

I am a dba and developer. I never, ever expect anything to go smoothly the first try. Its open source, beta, and (Im pretty sure) you are doing this out of the kindness of your own heart.

I greatly appreciate it, bumps int he road are just bumps.
