Please open a lineup support ticket at the Schedules Direct website and let me know that you're on a 7-day trial so that I can extend it once our upstream's issue has been resolved.

Thanks graywolf, rkulagow... This "upstream issue" does seem to be related to what I'm seeing in the SageTV epg. I had just posted over on the SD thread to confirm, but clearly it explain my problem... Please update when the upstream issue is fixed and I can confirm my epg "no data" issue is resolved.

Thanks for that. Hopefully they get integrated into the Windows installer prior to the end of the month so I can get SD working.

Nothing should stop you from adding new lineups. You just won't be able to remove the old one.

Oh, no I can't add new lineups either. I tried adding a zip code that was one number off so it would bring up the Directv lineup I need without the error of adding an identical lineup. Strangely, I don't get ANY lineups (even Dish or cable). No clue why, since it appears to be downloading the data. Logs look like this when I tried to add:

Oh. I see how that would happen. It's due to the assumption about the API that caused the other approach to fail. I'll push a fix for that too.

Great, thanks. How are other people having success with SD and I'm not. I imagine I'm not the only one on here in the LA area with Directv.

No problem. Part of the issue is getting something on my account that's deleted to make sure this works correctly. I did get it to work once, and everything was working, so I thought we would be good. It's unfortunate that this creates a problem in both directions. You can't remove anything or add anything. This led to some incorrect understandings about what would and would not exist if the lineup indicated that it was deleted.

Can someone point me to an up-to-date SD EPG setup guide? I've been reading up a bunch but its hard to tell what info is obsolete, and I don't want to mess up my new, clean install by downloading a bunch of plugins that aren't necessary. I read that SD capability is now integrated directly into Sagetv9 OSS, what else do I need to get it up and working? I created an account over at SD, and i'm in the trial period now.

But so... I got the SD EPG up and running today and have a 7 day trial account. I followed the EPG setup instructions provided... I've noticed the EPG shows data for most channels, but surprisingly "No Data" for some channels including "CBC". CBC is a basic channel. Does anyone know what I have to do to get EPG data for the channels that say "No Data"?

See screencap.

Go into the setup video source, look at the channel list, go to that channel, I bet you gave two channels with the same number. Deselect the current one and select the other. I has the same issue as well.

It's built in, so that's all you need. When you add a source, it will ask you what you want to use for guide data, choose Schedules Direct. It should pretty much describe what you want to do each step of the way.

Thanks Fuzzy, that's exactly what I needed. Might not be a bad idea to delete or update some of the older posts out there to clear up the confusion.

Favorites showing up differently

I just noticed that one of my favorites is different under SD.

Under the old EPG, I created a favorite for MacGyver.

Under SD, it shows up as MacGyver (2016) and is not marked as a favorite.

Is this normal behavior?

Thanks,
John

Maybe There are two series, the original MacGyver from the 1980's and now a new MacGyver from 2016.

I used the Import/Export Channel plugin

Export before the change. renamed the files extension to .import
Made the SD change, then disabled all channels, then import channels.

A LOT easier

Posting a log should help clear up what's happening.
