Play Faster w/Audio
Does SageTV support 1.5x - 2.0x (or faster) playback with audio? I know that Zoom Player can do with, but I would prefer the nicer UI of SageTV.

kny3twalker -
I'm not sure if it does or not, but pretty sure it was not any official option. In some of my rather strange testing I have had it take off at a faster speed with chipmunk audio. I'm sure that was a just a glitch with what I was testing, but... Somewhere I thought I had seem some property that could be changed to allow a faster speed playback (not sure with or without audio though). Don't remember where I read that though (since it wasn't anything I wanted to do at the time). |

There's "Play Faster" and "Play Slower" commands, but I've never played with them really.
Play Faster is Ctrl+M default. |

Can someone try the Ctrl+M option and report if there is sound? If there is sound is it just fast (like Windows Media Player and ATi Media Player) or is it like chipmunks (like Zoom Player?)
Also if this option "Play Faster" (ctrl+M) does have sound, is the speed configurable? I tried a search on this forum for "Play Faster" I even tried Play and Faster and quoted "Play Faster" but play is way way way too common of a word. ~KingRandom |

Actually I don't get any sound w/ that on my Client, I'm not even sure it's properly working. Did a little searching, Jeff (narflex) usually refers to it as "Faster", and it seems that that method may only be supported for DVDs:
http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...rward#post9177 Further, I found a post from back in the 1.2 days where Jeff explains the difficulty of implimenting a smooth fastforward. http://forums.sage.tv/forums/showthr...rward#post1352 |
