Is a Schedules Direct license limited to a single computer?

The SD FAQ don't address this and even the great Google oracle has not been successful in answering it. Does anyone know if a single SD license can be used for two computers, each having its own SageTV9 installation? Both computers reside in the same household, one is my laptop and the other is my desktop so it's not like I'm trying to split the cost of the subscription with another user. It's just more convenient sometimes to use the laptop and vice versa.

The reason I ask is I don't absolutely have to watch broadcast TV on the laptop so if it's two separate licenses I think I'll just install on the desktop.

Thanks.

Your SD membership is for your household, not a particular application or computer.

A vacation home is also part of your household, as is a kid away at school. Your brother you go to visit... not so much.

If we notice anything strange, we'll ask what's up.

It is likely fine, the limit is more about how many individual lineups you have configured. That said, why don't you run a single server, and use the client on your laptop, that way all recordings would always be available, whether you are using your laptop or desktop to view it. That's sort of how sage is designed to be used.

I have 4 SageTV servers and will eventually have all 4 using SD currently the count is 3.

So No Problem with multiple SageTV servers as long as you use 4 lineups or less you should be fine.

Thanks everyone. What a great forum this is! People here are always ready to extend a helping hand.

And thanks, Fuzzy, for the suggestion about the server-client alternative. That indeed might be a better solution.
