Imported Shows

Does anybody know what Sage needs to see correctly in order to FF and REW in an imported video? I can play Mpg files from a Replay TV fine, but if I FF it goes straight to the end of the file. There is no way for me to watch the show, therefore I have to watch commercials and all. Does anybody know of any tools which flag chapters or frames so FF and REW work?

This is a fairly common problem caused when SageTV is unable to calculate the correct length of the file. I do not recall seeing any clear cut correction method but SageTV does seem to correct itself over a period of time. I think the best method of forcing a correction is to restart SageTV.

Are you copying or moving the files to the library directory? If copying, try moving. In case this is it, see: Imported video files time incorrect.

I also added an entry(thanks to Nielm) to the FAQ for this a while back. Please let me know(by PM) if you feel I missed anything or if it can be improved.

<sigh> ... you _know_ I read that & I still forgot about it when I replied, above!

Must be my state of mind as I kill time playing Minesweeper while I wait to get tired enough to sleep.... I play Extreme Minesweeper... not allowed to mark any mines.
