No longer prompting to delete at end of viewing

I tried Gemstone and found that it's not for me. I really like malore's ancient menus for ease and showing me exactly what I want to see -- and this instant/quick information content is not yet there in gemstone.

BUT... one of the side effects was that it stopped prompting me whether to delete a show after I've watched it.
This started when I installed gemstone to test.
I have made sure that the correct setting is enabled (over and over).
I have toggled it many times to see if it just needed to be rewritten.
I have uninstalled gemstone instead of just disabling it and repeated the above.
Since a lot of my sage use is just time shifting to suit my schedule -- this is frustrating since it means that I have to go back and delete all of the time.

Any suggestions? Aside from a complete reinstall of sage...

I actually have starting seeing this happen now intermittently since my upgrade to V9 (w/Gemstone). I have no idea why it will ask one time but not another.

solved

Solved by accident.
I archived all of my shows after hearing that a glitch caused another user to have to restore theirs from backup. I watched a show today that had just been recorded so it wasn't archived - and it asked if I wanted to delete it.
I checked on a few other shows and it turns out that autodelete won't ask if the show is archived.
(A sage bug? It does say always ask....)

pretty sure it's by design that it won't ask if the content is flagged as archived... flagging something as archived is pretty much, by definition, stating that you don't want to delete the content.

I thought that might be your position
And it is very low priority compared to the mainline development.
It would have been nice if the setup for the plugin didn't say "ask for any file" and was clear that it would not prompt for archived videos.

I suppose then we'd have to change the archive checkbox to say "archive - unless you use the option to prompt for deletion on any file."
