Can anyone advise

I'm still a newbie and my main reason for using SageTV was for streaming live tv across a home network.
I'm still trialing the software and on the whole I'm impressed although I think I've had to re-install both server and client several times. My server pc (Pentium4 2 Ghz, 512Mb, Hauppauge 250, XP pro). I need the server close to my TV because my wife likes to watch Thai TV via an internet broadband Ondemand service. This service streams WMV9 protected content (DRM) and I use the server's graphic card's composite output to the TV. I also want to watch Tv so I thought Sage might prove a perfect solution because I could use the Hauppauge 250 card to stream to a Sage Client across the home network. And it works brilliantly. I just wish it worked everytime. I have some strange things happening. I Sage is running first and streaming to the client before the internet stream is started then both seem to happily coexist. But if the internet stream is started first then I seem to loose sound on the Sage stream. But it doesn't always seem to be a repeatable situation. Sometimes everything works fine, usually after a clean reinstall of both Sage server and client but after a while I seem to get instability. Can I actually do what I'm trying to do or am I lucky it's worked so far? Anyone cane explain why it's such an unstable setup?

Les
