Cross-platform paths for properties

I loaded my Gemstone properties file from my server into SageTV client, by first copying it to the client. I had issues with my Filter paths due to the direction of the slashes - plus needing to escape the backslashes. My server is on unRAID and the properties file was generated from extenders. But the client is on Windows as wants escaped backslashes rather than single forward slashes.

The following was the entry in the properties file for extenders:
Gemstone/Flow/sdnpgvb1vev7/Filters/FlowPathFilters=/var/media/movies&&true

but on a Windows client you need the following:
Gemstone/Flow/sdnpgvb1vev7/Filters/FlowPathFilters=\\var\\media\\movies&&true;

Would there be any way to do this translation automatically? Is this even a Gemstone issue or a broader SageTV issue with paths when using a Linux server with extenders plus Windows clients.

Interestingly - I didn't have to enter the server name in the Folder paths - it must get this from the server property.

The import process likely needs to be smarter in gemstone as sage itself doesn't know the property is a path.

Add a issue on the g2 issues list and i will look into it

This is now resolved in both gemstone 1 (next release) and G2.

Thanks for pointing it out.
