How to select an unused channel?

I would like to add a channel to my channel lineup that is not a normally used channel. How do I do this? In the Dallas area, channels 2 and 4 are commercial channels. I want to add channel 3 so I can view a video feed from a local device.

Thanks,
Steve

There may be a better way to do this with SageTV 2.0. But with SageTV 1.4, I just selected a unused EPG provider for the new input. I then selected the channel (something like info) I wanted to use and remapped to the proper channel number.
