HD300 and DTS/DD5.1

Hello,

I have a HD300 hooked up to my family room TV. My audio system, a Sonos Playbar with Surround and sub, only supports DD 5.1 - it can't decode DTS.

For Bluray rips I have been adding in a DD 5.1 as the first audio track with MKV Audio Converter. I started doing this years ago before the HD300 came out and I had to support HD200s.

I understand that the HD300 can convert DTS to DD however does it convert to DD stereo or DD 5.1? I want to know if I can skip the conversion process and just let the HD300 convert my DTS tracks to DD 5.1 live.
