New docker install

I'm trying to switch from Win10 Sage server to Ubuntu VM & a Java 10 Docker install on the same machine to see if I can make the switch and eliminate Win10 from the machine.

I can pass one of my USB tuners to the VM and test it, but after running the docker, is there any way to login to the server besides an extender? I am away from home for a few days, and I'd like to set it up remotely from a placeshifter, or even the local Sage client on the same computer. Are either of those possible, and if so, how?

Is the placeshifter set up with running the docker, or do I have to enable that (somehow) on the setup?

I figured it out, by RTFM.

The server isn't finding any tuners, however.

I passed one of my USB tuners to the VM that shows up in lsusb as:

Code:
Bus 001 Device 003: ID 1b80:e34c Afatech
This tuner appears to "work out of the box" after a google search.

How can I get the docker server to use this tuner?

I know very very little about Ubuntu BUT on my Unraid Server and SageTV we need to use a special version that includes the LibreELEC 'drivers' incorporated for Sage to see any USB and network encoders.

So perhaps there is a package that needs to be installed on your Ubuntu for these devices - sorry I am not much help with this ...

I wonder if the infoo you need would be here: https://www.linuxtv.org/
