Can I control every aspect of sagetv with a remote?
I don't mean configurations, but recording shows and playing music and such. If so, how hard is it to setup? I'll be using a cable box so I'll have to setup an IR blaster.

Yup I'd guess you can even do 99% of the configuration via remote.
IMO, Sage is quite easy to set up. I've never actually set up an IR blaster personally, but AFAIK, it's just a matter of following the setup wizard. |

You can see a complete list of all the commands available for controlling SageTV in this document: Controlling SageTV Using Windows Messages.
You can ignore the initial part about programming code if you want -- the important part is that it lists all the commands available & the SendMessage event codes you can use for those commands. Of course, if you are using key commands or an IR receiver that SageTV uses directly, you can simply assign keys/IR codes directly to each command by going to Setup -> Detailed Setup -> Commands -> Link...Command. - Andy
