mpeg fixes in ExoPlayer (for Android MiniClient)

So, this release of ExoPlayer has a number of mpegts and mpegps fixes and enhancements. I'll see if I can get an update out this weekend for the MiniClient... No promises, but I'll try

I hope this fixes the two biggest and frequently occurring problems that I have been encountering with the miniplayer using exoplayer:
(1) audio/video slightly out of sync - annoying with images of people talking not lip synced; pausing-playing/skipping/stopping/re-starting usually does not correct this problem
(2) some MPEG-2 recordings cannot be played back due to some kind of audio skipping problem - (also not fixable by stopping/re-starting/pausing/etc) but recordings playback correctly on the HD300

Basically these two things make the miniplayer unwatchable and I end up going back to the HD300. Anyone else noticing either of these?

I have some playback issues as well and blame Comcast. Since 5.1 sound is important to me I haven't been able to retire the trusty HD300s. Hopefully the ExoPlayer changes will fix things.

+1 on updating the Miniclient to bring in ExoPlayer 2.9.0. The last version bump introduced sync/skipping issues that weren't there before in my experience.

I did push out a new release, but it doesn't have 2.9... ie has 2.8.4 (prev was 2.8.1). The 2.8.4 release does have a number of fixes, so maybe it fixes your issues. I will look at 2.9, but of course, google changed how you consume it, so it's not a drop in replacement and will require some investment of my time, that I'm not sure I have right now

Any chance of getting the update to Amazon? I've been using the miniclient on my Amazon Fire tablet. Thanks.

It's pushed there... Just, Amazon takes their sweet time in validating I guess.

Thanks for the reply. The mini client is a great piece of work. Another reason I have to keep using Sage!
