I'm not sure if this is a SageWake-related issue, but since it's in the mix, I think I need to bring it in. My story:
I'm running Sage 2.0.20 with SageWake. It was working fine for about a week, but then I noticed that the computer was on more and more. Whenever I would check to see if Sage was actively recording something, it wasn't. And when I'd try to manually "stand by" the machine, it wouldn't work. If I terminated sagewake, it would. So I took a peek at the sched.txt file... --- Encoder Start Time Stop Time Duration ChannelName ChannelNum Title ManualRecord Favorite Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture Tue 7/27 13:30 Tue 7/27 14:00 0:30:00 FOOD 65 The Best Of ... false false Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture Tue 7/27 14:00 Tue 7/27 15:00 1:00:00 WCAU 20 Montel Williams false false Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture Tue 7/27 15:00 Tue 7/27 16:00 1:00:00 WCAU 20 The Ellen DeGeneres Show false false Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II Capture Tue 7/27 16:00 Tue 7/27 17:00 1:00:00 WABC 7 Oprah Winfrey false true --- I have Intelligent Recording DISABLED...so why is it putting these shows with both ManualRecord and Favorite set at false and false? From what I can tell, SageWake thinks that these programs which are not set to record are active programs, and therefore keeps the computer on. Is there something I'm missing? Is it IR that's kicking in to dump these dummy shows? Or do I need to tweak something in Sage.properties? Help! |

Do you start sagewake with the --noir setting?
SageTV always outputs the IR in the schedule file even if IR is disabled, but since SageWake Does not know if IR is on or off you need to specify this setting.

One of these days, I'll actually read through the instructions that come with a piece of software...
Thanks, jptaz...that was it exactly... |

Strange thing -- this worked for like three days, and now it's not working anymore. I'm using both the --noir and --leadtime=120 options on the command line. The params must be working, as when I manually "stand by" the machine, it goes into standby mode...but about one minute later, the machine comes back up! I'm not sure what to think...any ideas?

Not that this is of any help, but misery loves company
![]() I'm in the same boat - I added the SageWake exe as a shortcut in my Startup group and added the --noir switch, but whenever I check the machine is always on, and there aren't any shows scheduled to be recorded for over 12 hours. |

sjwoo and quaffapint,
Do either of you have SageTVClient running on another computer? Do you have a Network Encoder?

Like quaffapint, I, too, only have Sage running on one computer...
