Connection Problem Following Power Failure

A rather perplexing problem:

Have been using SageTV for quite some time without incident. Currently using V2 build 20.

This weekend while out-of-town we experienced a significant power outage. Upon my return and reboot of the computer, SageTV could no longer access live TV

First thought was that the PVR250 took a surge hit, but I have eliminated that concern by loading WinTV2000 . Everything is working fine.

Tried a complete removal of Sage (registry settings and folder) and now I am unable to setup the software. When attempting to download the EPG I keep getting a "cannot connect to SageTV Server" error. Before everyone gets too helpful-

Yes - I have an internet connection that works perfectly
Yes - I have the proper ports open on my firewall
Yes - I have tried removing both hardware and software firewalls
Yes - I have tried multiple complete uninstalls, reboots, and installs.

Does anyone have a clue on what could be keeping me from reinstalling SageTV

As I said earlier - the software has been working perfectly until this weekend and I have made no modification to my configuration (I wasn't even home!)

When you say "complete uninstall" are you deleting or renaming sage.properties (or ensuring that it is removed by the uninstaller)?

By complete uninstall I mean
1. Running the uninstaller
2. Deleting the Frey Technologies Folder (including prperties and wiz)
3. Removing all references to Frey or SageTV from the registry

Admittedly draconian but I was getting desperate!

I have removed registry entries before and Sage does not add them back
I had to get some one to post it then reenter it manually
I would email Freys and tell them what you have done
so they can advice you or send you all the correct registry entries

also this sounded to be a pvr card problem
I personalluy would have tackled the drivers before messing with Sage

As I stated previously, I verified the operation of the PVR before doing anything with Sage. As a matter of fact, I am currently using GB-PVR and WinTV until I can resolve my Sage issue.

I have emailed Sage as I also suspected that my license key or other critical registry entries may not be automatically replaced.

At this stage, I am certain that this is a Sage issue. Hopefully tech support will have some insight.

Thanks for the response.
