Fast forward audio loss
Often when FF or RW I lose my audio and I have to go the opposite direction then back again to get the adui back. For example I FF, FF, FF then have to RW and FF to get audio back. I also get an occasional hang when FF as well...
ideas?

I think this is a common problem. I have it also, but minor compared to other issues I would like to see fixed.

no it is not a common problem
it is a common decoder problem though I have seen it with cyberlink decoders and thats it though what audio decoder are you using? and if it is default choose something els in the list but it is a decoder issue try another one |

what video decoder are you using for TV?
cyberlink? I found that sonic audio decoder(DVD decoder pack) works pretty well with all video decoders just so you know |

Also the INtervideo Non CSS decoders for video. I assumed I wanted to use them so the decoder part of my PVR 350 would be used and offload the CPU. I have a wimpy 933Mhz EPIA M1000 board.

the software decoding intervideo non css are different than the hardware decoder on the pvr 350
you have to use the output to use the hardware decoder you are just software decoding well I would look into a DVD decoder pack sonic's is awesome it could be a performance issue but I still think it is a decoder issue but I have never seen it happen when using a matched video and audio decoder with any of the decoders available cyberlink was the one that always gave me trouble when not using cyberlink for both audio and video when I used cyberlink for video and audio though everything was fine try using default wave out as your audio render and I am guessing you are using overlay for video rendering with 3d accleration disabled |

I am using a matched pair for audio and video, the Intervideo NonCSS ones. I use the cyberlink ones for DVD only. I will try different decoders....

Well.... I too get audio problems with the Sonic Decoder/Renderer when I FF or REW. The audio doesn't drop completely, but I do have to crank it up a couple of notches. When I go back to Live TV, it resumes the normal volume. Any clues?

no here
http://www.cineplayer.com/decoder/ and try the different rendering and before you go and spend 15 dollars on this try using the cyberlink decoders for audio and video they should work fine since you are using both of them use overlay rendering and try the wave out rendering |
