trying to get a HD-PVR2 Gaming Edition (157320) working on SageTV

Hello,

I'm trying to get a HD-PVR2 Gaming Edition (157320) working on SageTV 9.2.2.

I had four HD-PVR2's working and then one stopped (157210) resulting in me buying the "wrong" type of HD-PVR2 on ebay.

I've replaced all the power supplies with 6V 2A ones and it hasn't helped.

On my HD-PVR2 devices SageTV lists for inputs
[Component, Composite, HDMI, HDMI+LineIn, S-Video]

On the HD-PVR2 Gaming Edition SageTV lists
[Component+SPDIF, Composite, HDMI, HDMI+LineIn, HDMI+SPDIF, S-Video]

HDMI would be prefered, next Component (with LineIn)

HDMI, HDMI+LineIn gives me audio with scrambled video (4 ghosts with lots of offset interlacing)

SageTV sometimes says a component crashed and needs reinstalling when I change tuners on the HD-PVR2 Gaming Edition.

The tuner works in Hauppage Capture via Component (with AV in),
HDMI video works but the audio doesn't. I'm hunting for that SPDIF cable but can't find it, grumble, grumble.

I have had four HD-PVR2's working in the past so I've applied those registry fixes and also "patches" to the sage.properties file.

I'm wondering if there is something new specific to the Gaming Edition I've missed or if that tuner doesn't currently work with SageTV.
