USB-UIRT Doesn't Work After Upgrading to 9.2.4
I just upgraded to 9.2.4 in order to get the recent EPG image fix that was released. Now my USB-UIRT does not work at all. It was working fine for years and even a few hours before updating, but now it doesn't tune.
Details: Was running version 9.1.7.757 prior to upgrading. System: Windows 10 64 bit - Running 32 bit version of SageTV USB-UIRT is only used as a transmitter. I do not use it as a receiver. Using two Unisheen B3000 HDMI capture devices with OpenDCT. Any ideas how to fix this? I checked the Tuner Control in the Source Setup, and it has a DLL path that I'm pretty sure wasn't there before updating. I tried going to "Test Infrared Code" to manually send digits, but the entire list is empty. So I suspect it can't find my .IR file. "Change Tuning Device" also shows a blank list. All of my .IR files are located in "C:\Program Files (x86)\SageTV\Common\RemoteCodes\USB-UIRT Transceiver" I'm guessing SageTV isn't looking in this directory any more for .IR files? Any ideas? Do I need to put my .IR files somewhere else? |

It looks like I was missing uu_irsage.dll, which seems to be a problem with the installer? I found the DLL file here: https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...&postcount=191
The DLL didn't fix the problem though. The path to the DLL looks correct now (see attached screenshot) but all of the other menus are still blank and I still can't tune channels. I tried replacing the uuirtdrv.dll in system32 with the one attached in the above link but that didn't fix it either. Since I'm running 32 bit SageTV, I'm wondering if these might be the incorrect (64 bit) DLL's I'm trying? |

Running in Service Mode if it makes a difference. I'm restarting the service after each DLL change I am trying, still nothing.

Does anyone know where I can download the old version 9.1.7? Bintray doesn't have it any longer and the new Github release page doesn't go back that far.
I'd prefer not having to do a full system restore to get SageTV working again but I will if there is no other option. |

Fixed!!!!!!!
Upgrading to 9.2.4 removed uu_irsage.dll from SageTV completely. This seems like a pretty bug in the installer. The version of uu_irsage.dll that I linked to is the 64 bit version, so putting it into SageTV obviously didn't work. I looked through my backups and found an earlier version of uu_irsage.dll and tried that, success! I can tune channels again. https://decider.com/wp-content/uploa...nny-glover.png |

I think I can make a change to force install of the dll’s, regardless of version and perhaps that will fix this ongoing nagging issue. I have someone who is going to try to reproduce the issue.

I can either figure out how to add versioning to the DLL or I think I can have it just ignore versioning on that DLL when installing. Thanks for the comments. I think we're on to something here.

Testing has shown that the lack of version info in the 9.2.1 - 9.2.4 versions of the 32-bit uu_irsage.dll causes it to be deleted when upgrading from 9.1.x
This can be remedied by rerunning the installer and selecting the repair option. I plan to release a 9.2.5 update soon which corrects this.

I am having problems similar to this after a new build. Could I have the same problem and need to do a repair install? I have installed the urit drivers and see it listed in my device manager.
Thanks for any info Wayne

Are you running the 64-bit version? If so, you may have to tweak the install manually due to an issue with the vendor's 64-bit driver. That is described under "known issues" in this post: https://forums.sagetv.com/forums/sho...60&postcount=2

Now not working. I had used the wrong remote codes the first time and decided to reprogram both hdpvr's uirt control and relearn the codes. I went into sage/common/remote controls and deleted my original ir files. Then I tried to use relearn feature and got spinning circles. so I deleted the source and started over. Then I would enter a new name for the file and hit ok then I get into a loop and an error : There was an error learning the remote control code. Please release the button on the remote control. then below that: press select (enter) to continue and try to relearn the code and now I hit enter and it is in a loop that keeps saying the same thing. I guess I am getting frustrated after about 3 hours now trying to learn the codes. I also recopied the dll file to sys 32 folder. I have rebooted several times, probably have restarted sage 20 times, I also used the repair on the sage install. I had it working when I done the original add source for both hdpvrs. Looking back I should have switched the hdmi cables instead of relearning the codes and I think it would have been working by now.
Any one got any ideas? Thanks Wayne

I forgot to add above. If I go to Sagetv/common/remotecodes/ usb-uirt transceiver/ It shows my ir names I created. But they show no data 0kb. I have deleted these and tried to add new thru the add video source and select uirt and then that is where I get stuck in the loop above.
Thanks Wayne

Ok, got it working again. I went into sage and deleted the common folder and started the sage install and done the repair feature and reinstalled the dll file into sys 32 again and it now works. Something had to get corrupted. But it is working now
