Is my Tuner dying?

I've recently discovered that my Hauppauge 885 is only showing a signal for NBC and ABC. Nothing else is coming in. It is using the same channel map as my 7164 which appears to be working fine. I have an active amp/splitter between the antenna and the cards. Could it partially fail and cause this kind of issue?

It's very unusual for the tuner to go bad with the symptom described. More likely this is a result of the channel repack that occurred. Try performing a channel scan on each tuner having this problem.

I'd check the amp/splitter. They sometimes fail - sometimes mine have gotten unplugged unintentionally!

Are you sure that there wasn't a frequency reshuffling in your area. Maybe you have to rescan for that other tuner.
