unable to see listing of recorded shows

hi folks,

Other than the show currently recording, i am unable to see a listing of recorded shows under recordings. This includes the many partial files of 'buffer' tv. When i go to windoes explorer and look in the taget directory, i can see many files with the shows name no it. Any ideas?

By default Sage Recordings will only list complete recordings of Manual Records, Favorites, Currently Recording, and Intelligent Recordings (if enabled).

It will never show partial recordings, however, if you want to have it keep and not delete other complete shows that you have watched there is a setting for that.

So if i start to watch a show 5 minutes in, and then hit record and decide i want to watch it later, it will not show up in SageTv listings, but i would have to go into the directory and play the file directly?

If you hit record it will record the rest of the show as a Manual Recording. Manual Recordings will show up in Sage Recordings. What does not show up are fragments generated from watching LiveTV.

above you mentioned that only complete recordings are listed, including for manual record. In this scenario i am starting 5 mintues into the show (ie, 5 minutes in start viewing, ie just turned to that channel, not just hit the record button), thus it is not a complete (lets says 30 minute) recording. So would this 25 minutes (out of a 30 minute show) show in recordings?

I misspoke as far as Manual Recordings. They will always be shown and not deleted. Even if you just caught the last few minutes of the show and hit record.
