Window Server 2003

I am getting ready to build a HTPC and was wondering if Sage Tv would run under Windows Server 2003. The processor will be an AMD Opteron with about a gig of memory. I would like the server to run DNS and other basic server functions.
Also does anyone know if any HTPC companies are making 64bit drivers for Window Xp 64bit and if 64 bit would be worth the trouble in performance terms?
