UI display problems with Dell

I have a new Dell 8400 and just purchased SageTV. The product works great for TV viewing and recording, but I am having some kind of video problem for the interface. For example, when I arrow through menu options the menu item I just left stays highlighted, making it terribly difficult to read. When getting rid of some windows, pieces of them stay behind.

Any ideas?
Wayne

change the render to overlay
enable color keying and disable 3d acceleration

Thanks, I'll try that. I am assuming that none of those parameters affect actual tuner functions and quality?

nope
enable color keying gives transparent menus
disable 3d acceleration (it is only needed for when you use VMR9)
and overlay is just a different render
also it makes the picture sharper usually
