How to add a channel to listings?

Has anyone figured out how to add channels to your Canadian Zap2it listings? There are several Expressvu channels that do not show up in the listings so I am not able to switch to them through Sage TV

In channel setup the only channels listed are the ones that came from Zap2it. I can disable channels that are listed but I see no way to add a new number.

You can't unfortunately. You can remap a channel you don't use/need to that number so SageTV will instruct your IR blaster or tuner to tune to that number though. Of course the guide data for that "channel" would not be correct.

The best solution would be to make Zap2It aware of the problem. Either the cable or satellite provider is not giving Zap2It (Triubune) the data for that channel, or they simply did not make Zap2It aware that the channel existed.

These channels are for things like interactive weather, movie previews and PPV events so I don't know if they would have reason to list them. Is this a limit in Sage TV or is it only because I'm using plugin to get listings from Zap2it tha tI can't add numbers?

SageTV relies on the the EPG provider (in this case the plugin) to tell it what channels are available. There is no facility within SageTV itself to "build your own lineup". You could ask Lester to add some "blank" channels to the lineup that he generates in the plugin. This would not be too hard (I have done it in EPG plugins I have created for special use purposes). That said, he is providing the plugin for free already :-)

I guess since it was so easy to do in GBPVR I figured that all PVR software had that feature, I can work around it like you said by remaping channels, which brings me to another feature wish, being able to rename said remaped channels .
