PVR-350 Sound out- no volume control in Sage

I am using the 350's S-video out and sound out for my SageTV setup. The only problem I have had is that when using the 350's sound output I can not control the volume in SageTV.

I can not mute or adjust volume. The on screen display shows the volume meter moving up and down but there is no change in volume. I have to use my A/V Receiver to control the volume.

I have tried using the PC's soundcard which works for controlling the volume, but there is a delay, sound comes out too slow.

Is there a way to configure Sage to use the audio out of the 350 to control volume?

Thanks

I don't have a 350, but I would guess that you have to select the 350 as the audio renderer.... have you done that?

In the menu setup under audio, I have default selected, and I hoenstly don't recall seeing the 350 as an option in that menu. I only recall seeing default and 3 other options relating to my soundcard.

I will check again tonight after work.

As far as I know, there has never been a way to control 350 output volume through Sage.

why would you want to mute? Why not just pause the show? The 350 output volume can be controlled by your TV volume.

Maybe no need to mute, but volume up down is nice. I would like to only have to use 1 remote.

Wouldn't hurt to ask Frey for an enhancement. But I would expect they would only add code to control something like a UIRT which would then control your TV.
It seems like it might be a waste just for volume control, but other features such as turning off on the TV when sleep and wake SageTV might make it worth while.

*BUMP* Has anyone ever got Sage volume to control the volume out on the PVR-350?

Thanks

Could you take the output from the 350 and feed it into the input of your audio card then output the audio card to your amp. You could then controll the output of the audio card.
