Custom Feature Question
Not sure if this should be a question (or request) to Frey or you STV developers.
I was thinking about a great little inexpensive tool I have used for some time that I am sure many of you have heard of called Microsoft Photo Story. The cool thing about it is this; in a matter of minutes you can create a photo slide show with either narration or MP3 parallel tracks. Another neat thing that it does is zoom and pan the pictures giving the illusion of motion. It also allows you to create a title screen. In the end it is compiled as an EXE file to easily run. So, like MPEG's, AVI's, JPG's and MP3's, I would love to be able to save these to a Sage server hard drive folder and have them imported into the Sage UI as a list giving me the ability to launch and run them at will. Any thoughts on if this would even e possible? And if no one will consider doing this in an STV, would Studio even allow me to do it myself when it becomes available? Thanks, T. |

Simple solution: Just define some menu items in my STV's menu.xml to run the slideshow EXE...
(yes, you will have to edit the xml each time you add a new slideshow) |

Just thought it would be a cool plug-in like weather, news feeds, etc. Still wondering if I would be able to do it myself with Studio?? Ya think? Thanks, T.. |

Generic File browser with customisable actions... It was something I had thought about for my menu system, but it got pushed right off the priority list and I have no plans to do it...
