New Sage "Crash" (well creating huge logs again)

Ok I've not updated to the latest version yet.. only just updated to the newest beta RC ... now its officially out there are reasons to update to the full one compared to the RC!?!?

ANyways i left the machine recording today and only cause my machine puts more fans on when CPU usage is high did i note something was wrong... a quick look and sage was using 70% cpu on a P4 2.8ghz... a further look and the log file was 750meg... and growing at about 3 meg every few seconds...

Quick snip with tail and i got the last thousand or so lines ... its zipped up and attached...

I then stopped Sage... restarted it... it took quiet a long time to do anything on restart but eventually came up and told me about a programming collision... I resolved it by clicking what i wanted recording and it was fine.. i assume its been fine for the rest of the day.. a quick look in the error file shows its going on about collisions repeatedly... hope the logs can help.. reply quickly if you want other files as i will update to the newest version tomorrow.. may delete other files when this happens!??!

Thanks

not touched anything yet so i still have a 700meg log file floating around.. at position 2 now... booting up SageTV this morning and it took a fair while before even showing the splash screen and loading... like about 1 minute at least...

It doesn't copy log files to move them does it!?!? that would explain why a 800meg file would take a little while to be copied..

are those log files purely for aiding debugging?!?!

I am always concerned that deleteing them will in someway mess up my settings... I guess i am getting confused with when i deleted those files along with others.. i guess the wiz...

So whenever i get large log files i CAN happily delete them (or move them aside for extra debugging purposes) ???

The SageTV_X.txt files are for debugging only. The Sage.Properties file and the Wiz.bin and Wiz.bak files are your program settings and intelligent recording profile. DON'T delete those files, unless you absolutely have to.
