Problem with TV screen size on PVR350 output

Hi all

Been trying to get SageTV to work for a while now and have had some success.

I now have a working remote and a picture and the SageTV UI on the PVR350 output. Hurray! It's only taken me 10 days!

My next Problem is that the TV picture, including UI, only occupies the top 2/3 of the TV screen.

I've tried changing the aspect ratio (no change other than 16:9 being much worse) Tried the Aspect ratio settings at upto 150% Vert stretch. The software that came with the card works fine, as do other PVR type applications.

I'm currently making do with the motherboards svideo output which is at less than VHS quality in SageTV. This output is also much better in other PVR apps.

Any suggestions? I've given up trying to search this forum.

Ive got other problems but I'll get to them later...

Im using the following
PVR350, ATI Remote Wonder, 1GHz VIA.

Are you a PAL user? If so, you should search for black bar and locate the black bar with 350 thread and read it. You have to change something in the properties file for it to display properly.

Yes I'm using PAL and that does fix it!

Copied here so people can find it with 'picture size'

(Original info by Whiskeyjack)

In sage.properties (in install dir.) change, OSD_fixed_height from 480 to 576. Has to be done with Sage closed, not sleeping.

and then change the Registerkey HKLM\SOFTWARE\Frey Technologies\common\NTSC from 1 to 0

One problem down two to go
